Clockwork
|
Clockwork... is comprised of six of the finest
musicians in the Boston, Massachusetts area who enjoy performing as
much as your guests will enjoy dancing to their
tight, polished sound! Not one or two, but five of
the members of Clockwork sing lead vocals, creating
vocal "walls of sound" and adding incredible variety
to their performance! Saxophone, keyboards, guitar,
drums, and bass round out the lineup. Occasionally,
a trumpeter and trombonist are added to the mix to
create an eight-piece powerhouse of a band!

Ron: Keyboards, Lead Vocals, Band Leader, M.C.
Ron has been orchestrating and performing at wedding
receptions for over twenty years! He is a skilled
keyboardist who has studied piano since the age of
ten, and has an abundance of experience playing at
weddings and private functions. Although his
education is in engineering, having graduated in
1986 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, his
"education" in the field of music performance has
been perfected over the last 20 years in bands such
as "New Life", "Dazzle", and "Clockwork", which he
formed with Mary in 1989. Ron's true gift, though,
is his ability to take complete control of each
event by making sure everything runs smoothly from
the first phone call until the last dance!

Mary: Lead Vocals
As the featured vocalist in Clockwork, Mary's voice
shines in everything from jazz standards to top 40!
After having received a bachelor's degree from Umass
Lowell, Mary studied voice for seven years with
Beatrice Dobelle at the Boston Conservatory of
Music. Sparked by her interest in voice, Mary went
on to Northeastern University to receive a Master's
degree in Communication Disorders; she is now a
Speech-Language Pathologist in the Maynard public
school system. Mary also plays piano, and has been
in Clockwork since its beginning!

Don: Saxophone, Lead Vocals
Don shares center stage with Mary, creating an
infectious energy with every step! Don has many
accomplishments in both music performance and
recording. As a lead singer, Don has fronted the
"Don Houge Quartet" and his seven-piece band the
"Solution". As a saxophonist, performances
throughout the US and Europe include the Nice Jazz
Festival and the Toulon Jazz Festival, summer 1996,
France; the Regattabar/Water Music 1993 Jazz
Festival; and regular performances on the Carnival
Cruise Line circuit. Don's education includes
Harvard University, Berklee College of Music, and
Principia College in Elsah, Ill.

Tom: Guitar, Lead Vocals
Tom has been a performing professional musician for
over 30 years. This Berklee College of Music
graduate of 1978 is an arranger, composer, singer,
songwriter, and accomplished guitarist. His
exuberance for music only matches his talent and
love for the art. Tom teaches private instruction
guitar lessons at his home in Waltham, MA. Tom has
toured with and performed in many bands, such as
"The Arron Ray Show", "Tom Yolandas Orchestra",
"Impulse", "Echo Bridge", and "Clockwork".

Joe: Drums, Lead Vocals
Another wealth of talent, Joe brings countless years
of experience to the band. A native of Boston's
South Shore, Joe has been drumming since the age of
8, after which he went on to receive training in
voice and piano. Following his attendance at the
Berklee College of Music, he studied jazz piano for
5 years. Joe now instructs more than 50 private
students, in addition to teaching music in the
Abington Public Schools. As a singer/songwriter, Joe
has recorded several CDs of his own material in his
own studio; in 1993, Billboard Magazine awarded him
a Certificate of Achievement for Songwriting.

Michael: Bass
It's the bass guitar that gives a band its
rock-solid edge and entices you out of your seat to
dance, and Michael's playing gives plenty of that!
Michael's resume reads like a "how-to" book in
performance and music production. His education
includes studies in music composition, arranging,
performance, production, and engineering at both
Montgomery College in Maryland and Berklee College
of Music in Boston.
