Dear Charlie & Search
Party,
I wanted to thank you
in writing for making our wedding reception at the
Hawthorne in Salem, Ma. on November 5th a truly
memorable experience for us all. You went far beyond
the call of duty by learning an original tune that I
(the groom) wrote and asked you to play for our
first dance - and performing it flawlessly. As a
musician myself, I found the level of musicianship
of the entire band quite intimidating. I could have
sat and watched you guys all night - except that I
was dancing, like everyone else in the room!
You kept our guests
out on the floor (even during dinner!), and paced
the selection of songs perfectly. You put our
wedding party at ease when we were preparing to be
introduced, and your professionalism, accommodating
our various song and guest-singer requests, was
outstanding.
Anyone even
considering a DJ for their Big Day must see one of
your sets first! We've been to a few weddings with
DJ's recently, and believe me; the energy and vibe
of the party that you guys create put the
celebration in a whole other league. We got more
comments on the great band than we did on the
(custom-made) bride's gown - and that's saying
something!

Hi Charlie,
I just wanted to
write and thank you for helping to make our wedding
on July 2nd a perfect night. You and the band were
truly amazing and helped to create exactly the right
type of fun and lively atmosphere we were hoping
for. I have had numerous relatives and friends ask
about you and where we found you. Many people have
also commented that they "have never seen so many
people dancing at a wedding before, ever!" We were
thrilled with the variety of music you played and as
evidenced by the dancing, our guests were too. Thank
you so much for a great night and we hope to make it
to see you guys play very soon!

Charlie,
Just wanted to drop
you a note to let you know how thrilled we were with
the band for our wedding in Woodstock CT. You guys
were awesome. After we got back from our honeymoon
and spoke with our friends and family who were at
the reception the first thing they said to us was
"GREAT BAND! Where did you find them?" If you ever
need a reference (especially for folks who have
never seen you and can't travel to see you before
booking like we had to) send them out way because we
will tell them that you guys are their only choice.
Your card says it all!!!! Relax- you've found the
band...

Charlie,
I just wanted to
thank you again for the great job on Saturday night
at the BC Club. You folks are terrific! Many of my
guests commented that it was the best wedding music
they had ever encountered. Most interesting was one
of the staff members of the BC club told me that he
works all the weddings there, and in his opinion,
they have never had a better band! That was
unsolicited from someone I don’t even know.

Dear Mr. Hunt and
Search Party,
I cannot imagine a
better musical compliment to a wedding than you.
After the solemnities are over, it's important for
the guests and wedding party to breathe, relax and
start celebrating. From the cocktail music right
through the multi-decade, multi -style music that
you provided for our daughter Kate and new
son-in-law Greg's wedding at Castle Hill on May 28,
you created the perfect atmosphere. I speak not only
from an "atmospheric" viewpoint, but also in deep
appreciation of your fine musicianship as well.
Thank you for all you did to make this wedding so
memorable and please accept as well our enthusiastic
recommendations!

Hi Charlie!
I just wanted to send
you a thank you for doing such a great job at the
wedding. Everything was perfect and Search Party was
even better than I expected. Everyone agreed that
every single song was great, and I got hundreds of
compliments on the band choice. The dance floor was
packed the entire time, and as the bride it couldn't
have made me happier. Also, thank you for learning
all our songs in such short notice. When you ended
the night with the Stevie Wonder version of "For
Once in My Life," I was amazed and so happy; I guess
I didn't expect you to learn it so quickly. It was
the perfect ending to a great day.

Because we currently
live abroad, we selected Search Party from their
song list and CD, so we were thrilled to hear how
amazing they sounded live. They're rendition of
"Tupelo Honey" might, we think, was better than the
original. They had us and our guests dancing all
night... and had our friends asking for details on
how they could sign the band to play for their
weddings.
They also played a
wonderful mix of songs and took note of our
requests, even learning a new piece (and adapting
another) for us. We've heard raves from everyone
from my great aunt to our 20-something friends.
And--and this was important to us--they didn't act
like a wedding band (by giving overdone intros and
such) but, at the same time, they made sure the
night moved smoothly, with the special dances,
toasts, etc.
Everyone in the band
was friendly and seemed to be having fun on stage,
in addition to sounding fabulous. I imagine that
helped contribute to the energy of the event.
I'd recommend Search
Party without hesitation!

Dear Charlie,
We wanted to take a
moment to thank you for the fabulous music at our
wedding! The band was absolutely wonderful, as I
hope you could tell from all of the dancing. It was
exactly as I had hoped - people did not (could not!)
sit still - your music was too good. So many people
have commented that you all were the best band they
had ever heard. Thank you so much for providing such
wonderful music and helping to make the day exactly
as I hope it would be!
